I started gambling out of boredom 22 years ago. Â It has sadly been a complete waste of time. Â I have lost tens of thousands. Â It was never worth the hassle. Â I have now quit and feel so much better. Â It has taken me 22 years to realise gambling is a con. Â Bookmakers are a con. Â They always win. Â They make tens of millions out of customers, Â aka mugs. Â This is the painful truth. Â Not sitting glued to a gambling website , Â waiting for a sports team or sports player to win, Â feels so less stressful. Â When I have been glued to a gambling site, I am not in control. Â Now I am. Â Bookies are blood suckers. Â Give them nothing. Â Do not give them your time. Â They do not care about you. Â You are money to them. Â All bookies should be banned it is as simple as that. Â Bookmakers are evil. Â They have ruined my financial future. Â It will now take me years to recover. Â
The national lottery isn’t much better.  That is a total con too.  Believe in yourself.  Take one day at a time and keep your money for you and your loved ones.  They are the ones that really matter.  A bookmaker gets the Ferrari,  while punters drive a clapped out old banger. Â
Life  outside of betting is fantastic.  It feels stress free,  relaxing and tolerable.  Inside gambling we feel worried,  stressed out and depressed.  Now I don’t gamble I am free.  I have self excluded. Â

Just for today gambling is a complete waste of time and is a very unhealthy habit of self abuse and neglect.Â
I use to think that I needed to fight the gambling addiction.
For me today I surrender to the fact that every time I gambled I made things much worse.
Every time I walked out of a gambling establishment having lost all of my hard earned money and wasted my time what were my feelings and emotions.
Did I understand clearly that I had worked hard for my money and given that hard earned money away to complete strangers.
Simply put I was working for nothing, nothing to show for my time working.
When I walked out of a gambling establishment having lost my money who did I blame, who was I angry at.
The gambling establishments never made me do any thing that I did not want to do.
The gambling establishments never lied to me I lied to me self.
The pains of my past caused fears in me that I did not understand.
The recovery program helped me help my self get to be a much healthier person..
