hi there,

looking to add another layer to the 5 year gamstop self-exclusion I already have in place, and have come across betblocker.org. Does anyone currently use this, and if you do could you help me out with a couple of questions

does using this tool restrict you from normal websites where there may be a tendency to see gambling advertisements and information (IE sports pages on social media etc) and, more importantly, is it legit? The IOS app that the link on the website takes you to has only 1 review on the App Store advising that it is a scam and should be avoided?

any help very much appreciated, I’m 53 days gf but anything I can do to put further blocks in place on top of the gamstop can’t be a bad idea.

ive got it on my pc and phone. it so far has completely eliminated all access to every gambling website.

it does hold true to its purpose. once set the time of restriction you cannot delete it. even through admin authority. however when your set exclusion time is up you can delete it. has worked so far for me.

the database of websites it has locked down is over 5000 and you have the option to add more sites to it.

has been the only way ive managed to stop. so cant fault it at all really. would reccommend.

Thanks, sounds worth it. Does it interfere with your social media accounts, I’ve lost count of the amount of gambling ads I’ve seen on Facebook and Twitter that I have to remove, but with betblocker installed is your access limited on these kind of platforms?

ive seen an ad on youtube. but to be fair theres no way of getting onto the main site- at all. personally being clean for a week now. i dont mind seeing the advertisement because i know i cant get onto any betting site.

betblocker has worked very well for me so far. not bad for being free.
