Good idea Michael - I'm checking in on Day 3 for me - decent day with lots of challenges but no gambling.

Hi Michael count me in, currently on day 5 but 2015 has been a disaster, if I can manage to stay gamble free for a few weeks I'll hopefully be able to kick on from there.

Welcome Spud1966

Now we have 5 say just for theory's sake we use 50 pounds saved as a notional number for each one of us for every day we have saved by being gamble free. This is £250 pounds for today going to Presents, Meals enjoying life instead of going into a grubby bookies. Well done everyone on making the commitment to be gamble free today. Treat yourself a little a pat on the back give yourself a hug. God knows you have put yourself through the wringer. Recovery is about change and being different so if you treat yourself and your loved ones badly while gambling. Today is a day of change try a smile and be kind to yourself. If you live in the past it will drag you back.

Brilliant to have Dean8008 & Stuartslasgow

Welcome Fellas

remember this is an everyday checkin only till the New Year after that we will work it out and stretch further well done Dean on 20 Days.

So now instead of a notional 250 redirected from the bookies we now have 350 going toward enjoyment life and happiness some may gamble more some may gamble less but we are using 50 pounds per head as our number

Hey guys, day two and was easier than day 1.Had €100 I owed my mate, messaged him to pick it up as I wanted to give it over but he never came.Happy I didn't think of gambling with it and put it in an envelope. Will drop it down to him before work tomorrow.Im not sure about that 50 pound per day lads,I just feel talking about money right now in recovery isn't right. It's the mental side im struggling with,I have lost so much focus and productive years through this ilness.
