Age 49, blown my wage yet again. Wish I was someone else. Gonna try my hardest not to do it anymore. I'm a proper addict. Feeding note after note into machines. Desperate to win money to cover debts and end up in a worse situation than I started. I used to enjoy a bet on the football but the machines are absolutely brutal, luckily I'm self excluded online. Broken and broke.

Guys, sorry to hear about your losses and how you are feeling right now. But no matter how severe the losses are there is light at the end of the tunnel I promise.

I ended up with 8.5 years worth of gambling debt and currently there is 2.5 years left until I’m debt-free and out of ‘jail’ and I can enjoy myself properly again. Sad thing I took my mrs down with me as she also has a loan as a result of MY gambling.

Long story short, it’s not worth it at any age and stop now whilst you can or live the rest of your life in more sorrow and regret. Take action now. Start by calling GamCare and arranging 1:1 counselling. Gambling is disturbing your soul, brain and physical health. Undo it all by getting help. It will take time but trust me it’s not worth being stuck in this cycle.

All the very best,

Beat.
