Only a week left now guys, everyone still doing really well so lets keep it going 🙂
All the best guys and have a great week!
Checking in a day shy of 60 days. It's a shame this thread may come to an end but happy to be well on my way to 100 days and beyond.
I am scared of telling anyone of my addiction but I'm sure they would forgive me and support me. It's just taking those first steps.
I have learned to forgive myself and see it as my own weakness. If I kept punishing myself it would only keep happening.
Thank you for this forum, all the best.
Checking in on day 110 gamble free .... I am learning to forgive myself for my past mistakes, which i need to do to fully move on properly.
Forgiveness is one of the hardest things for most people. In theory it should be easy to say 'I forgive you' but we all know in real life it doesn't work like that. I too found it hard to forgive myself. First must come the acknowledgement of our mistakes otherwise we can't ask for forgiveness if we don't think we've done any wrong. It takes sacrifice on our part to get to that point.
Easter is probably the best time to look at forgiveness. Around 2000 years ago a man sacrificed himself for the forgiveness of our sins. Depending on your belief system of course you may believe this to simply be a story, for others it's the basis of your faith. Either way I think the idea that someone would give up their life in such a way for the sake of others can teach us something. We all have the ability to forgive, it's whether you use that ability is what is important.
Forgive yourself, forgive others. Happy Easter
Sam checking in for the week gamble free 🙂
I’m glad my family were able to forgive me for being an addict for so long and blowing money that would have been better spent invested at home.thanks for running the challenge it’s been a great incentive to stay away from gambling!
303 GF DAYS ! Checking in ! Thanks for running the thread Sam 🙂 happy easter y’all !

I've forgiven myself for the debts i've left myself to pay. Hard work and working on recovery will put the past right over time.
Thanks for running this challenge Sam!
Phew just made it I think.
I dont know if I've truly forgiven myself for some of the awful things I have done, but I've learned to accept it. It is hard to learn how to forgive yourself, well it was/is for me. But its not a deal clincher, acceptance and awareness are more important to me,

Congratulations to everyone who continued through the challenge and made it to Easter gamble free. Many thanks to all who took part and I hope it helped in some small way along your journey.
For now this challenge has been completed but I may run another one later in the year at some stage. There are a couple of other challenges about namely the 2018 challenge and Guru challenge.
All the best guys!!
Thanka Sam for running the challenge, enjoyed checking in and using a different word each week was a good idea ... hopefully join one of your other challenges later in the year with a higher day count, all the best.
Thank you Sam.
This small challenge has really helped keep me focused and get me started on my recovery. I have been trying for 3/4 years to put this to bed and this year I feel in a much better position.
The word of the week is a great idea and something that should be considered for the yearly challenge as it makes you think about things rather than just a simple check in.
I will probably join the yearly challenge now as I'm not too far off the 100 mark and will be above 300 before the year is out.
Although I have started to realise it isn't about numbers it's the self realisation that I need to change my mindset and this has definitely kick started that.
All the best everyone.
