Just wondering if anyone's addiction is mainly football betting? I see a lot on here whose problem has arisen through either horses, slots, roulette, blackjack etc, but is anyone's addiction particularly football? My background is I got into gambling regularly at university through a flatmate and then the past year found a couple of football tipping sites and won substantial amounts of money, which I then lost and have since been putting big money(I.e most of my monthly wages, 1k) on single bets at evens to try and claw the money back!
Hi Nmb92
My problem was football. I wasn't interested in anything else. I won big but lost the lot and more thinking I could turn it around.
My b*****r account at the last time of looking stated I've deposited nearly 80k and withdrawn nearly 50k so 30k down overall. I've got 19k of debt in credit cards and a loan.
Put the lost cash down as a BIG lesson, don't focus on what you lost but focus on your way out, that must start now.
The biggest bet I did was about 3k, it lost. On the flip side I've often won 2, 3k per day, 10k in one week then lost 10k in 2 days. Ultimately this cycle will destroy my life if I carry on. I've not gambled for 2 days now, feeling really strong.
All the best.
I've had different vices over the years. Started with horses and slots. Moved to higher stakes and football. Then to Roulette machines. Followed by the most destructive - online gambling.
Probably it's what you're familiar with. I would guess you could end up with a gambling problem with all of them. It's not worth taking the risk in my opinion.
Affected by gambling?
