Daytime TV, and sporting events on commercial channels.
I think it is damaging all round to allow this advertising so freely.
It is all over my twitter feed too (as promoted/ads).
And should betting shops be allowed advertising in their shop windows, considering there can be 5 along one short street.
While I do take personal responsibility, I have began to realise that it is not all our fault, and the normalisation of the gambling industry is a very damaging thing. Subliminaly drawing in people.
It's really hard when you, as a gambler, are sat in a room, with someone who knows what problems you've got, and you're wathching daytime TV and a bingo advert pops up. Even worse is the rule that allows bookmakers to advertise during sports events even if they're on at the same time the kids come home from school (Euro 2016 for instance).
All gambling, betting, bingo adverts should be restricted to after 9pm imo. I've written to the Gambling commission with some thoughts but so far no response.
Affected by gambling?
