I only joined the forum yesterday and was pointed here after speking to someone on the phone. I decided yesterday (after online gambling again) that everytime I get the urge I am coming to the forum to read about the damage gambling can do. So I agree with the previous post today is day one, lets go the whole day without gambling and chat tomorrow.

Good for you Tony. You'll get a buzz as i do seeing the days you don't gamble. I'm on day 16 today which is great. Although i should count weekends as during the week was fine for me it was the weekends where i used to relax and play online for hours into the night!! So i am hoping to break the record this weekend and go for 2 WHOLE weekends without gambling

Gamblers wife here, it gives me so much reassurrance to read how hard you lot try, to know that even if you do relapse you can keep it to just one day and get on with recovery again, every time you have your victories, I have more confidence that we can keep going here too.
