Hi all,
My brother has been accepted into Gordon moody residential rehab in a few weeks. He is a long term addict with constant relapse, huge impact on family and friends.
Does anyone have any knowledge of the programme? First hand or through a family member?
Just wanted to hear any feedback. Also wanted to know what the rules were around contact with the outside world, WiFi access etc
Thanks and happy new year to everyone
He is in good hands. There will be no outside contact allowed for at least a few weeks. He will be expected to do & engage in 12 Step work on both a one to one basis & group therapy. It is a very strict regime & failure to follow the rules is not tolerated. Not sure about wifi long term, but would think it unlikely. Personal electronic devises are not allowed from my understanding.
i just think it sucks that they only do a resident programme for men and the woman get 2 4 day retreats, addicition is the same so why are female and male seperated?? i have to wait until April to be assessed as they only do woman 3 times a year
Sounds intense. No contact with family?

I was accepted onto that programme for the January entry but didnt go as i was happy with the counselling and felt that other people needed the place more - how did your day go today?
