So I took out an overdraft which is ridiculous I must have sat there on the same machine for 8 hours ... I'm worried now I'm considering a loan least then I won't get overdraft charges
Hi MegaDawn
I really don't think another loan will help, I think we know where that loan will go. I've been there time and time again. You start thinking it was just bad luck and if you gamble with the new loan you can make enough money to cover that and the overdraft. Even if you did (which you won't), you'll then think that if you just gamble a bit more then you can pay off the loans and have a bit in your pocket but it never ever works like that. You lose the loan amount too and feel even worse. Read some more stories on here and that might help but please don't take more loans.Â

When does it all end? If you are driving a car at full speed you dont max it out because you know a wall may stop you or you may loose control of the car. When does it end? Sometime you need to press the stop button and consolidate your position. Those slots are not going to pay. They are only designed to steal and they will be there tomorrow and the next day. But if you keep on loaning money your repayments are going to be in years possibly decades. Now you may have get rich or die trying attitude but reality will get you at some stage and you will need to make decisions.
You are allready there now as you are on the forum seeking advice.

Avoid loans at all costs - They usually come at a much higher APR especially payday loans have been known as the most evil some ever at 50% which is insane!

Depending on your bank, most charge a daily overdraft fee in pence, some even offer a fee-free amount. Call up your bank explain your situation - say you have an addiction to gambling and are seeking support and help. Banks have to follow strict protocols on vulnerable customers as issued by the FCA - most banks will even agree to freeze any interest charges as a solution.

It is a complex and horrible disorder, so I recommend blocking yourself on GamStop now and calling your bank for help with the overdraft.
