I'm only 18 and have finally hit rock bottom with gambling. I have been going through depression at the same time as being addicted to gambling, I have blown around £10k of money I worked hard all my teenage years to save and it breaks my heart to think that the money I was saving was for my future. All I can say is if you have lost a couple of hundred, or even a thousand, stop now, just stop before you get tangled in the web, block yourself from casinos, online betting sites, local shops, make it impossible for you to gamble again. It is scary to think that gambling completely took over my life in less than 4 months. I wish you all the best and hope all of your problems are resolved the right way.

Hey Matthew

We can all recover from this. You lost 10k which is a lot of money but trust me, you can put this behind you, you've got your whole life ahead of you. Luckily you've found you have an issue with gambling early in life, lots of time to do something about it. Keep positive and the rest will work out.

I lost 10s of thousands over the years, but gambled to purposely lose, lost respect of friends family etc.
Started cutting, last gambling session i had , cut my arm to shreds afterwards.
But its a escape and coping mechnasim.
Have to say i agree with the above. The suicidal and dark thoughts are brutal
