How did You stop Gambling long term short term ?

Hi Everyone

I once have stopped short term for a Year with a old partner after losing 1000 s in roulette and Casino s we were doing really well until in Ostend Belgium they had Bingo in a bar we won about 90% of the time with the family it was unbelievable and returning home we started to go in a main stream Bingo hall and sadly back in the Bookies .

So any form of Gambling can entice you back beware !

2nd time i gave up for around another year earning good money Decorating and had no time to Gamble but when the work ended boredom took me back to the bookies

Their has been a lot of periods of around a month or more after a hefty session with lots of money feeling burned and hurt and being skint

but i always went back to it .

This Time is a bit different i am not religious well i did not think so !

I had a bit of a loss 100 pound plus from my returned debit card .

Then a few months later i did the same again using my debit card my ex girlfriend Returned my card back after she kept it for me to stop me gambling i thank her so much for helping me !

So now i am now alone with the bet feeding card oh dear but after the second loss i felt so disappointed in my loss although i had the card with 1000 available i didn't chase the losses as usual ?

I preyed to God for help not to Gamble

i pop in to a Church now and again Since preying i have not Gambled , on anything lottery , scratch card , bingo , bookies wont do any form

It has been eliminated and erased from my mind no urges or thoughts the Addiction destroyed ! is that possible Has anyone else preyed and lost the evil Gambling urges .

please note i still do not attend church as a normal habit and prior to this didn't .

I have also been depressed or bored a few times the classic betting condition that's gives you most of the time the temptation to bet with hope to make your feel better but thanks to god still any interest in it apart from deterring you.

I am just a ordinary Guy who has lost 1000 s and at the age of 52 shortly I may of not had what most people have a happy family and partners due to years of gambling but i am working on it now and i hope i am helping you victims also .
