Hi Everyone
7 days free of online gambling and feeling happy for the first time in months, I had a conversation with a counsellor tonight and it felt good. As an addict you feel totally alone, but it couldn't be further from the truth. We mustn't doubt ourselves because that way these rotten sites win. Every time we pay money into these horrible evil sites we are paying the wages of smug people who couldn't give a c**P about us normal , nice people with a problem they just want their salary. Looking back isn't an option guys, we have to accept the money has gone and isn't coming back , certainly not through gambling. I am on a mission to get these online crappy sites investigated. I remember a few months back closing one down and they asked why and I said lost too much money, they said gambling is a game of luck , why not try tomorrow your luck will change. Errrr hello what the hell kind of response is that?! I am aware these sites are getting looked into but there are thousands of them and more needs to be done.
Well done on your 7 days and I agree with what your saying but for the time being I would concentrate on healing you whilst early days in recovery x keep positive and look forwards x.
I intend to, everything is in place to make it hard for me to gamble, childlocks have gone on to the laptop, and my partner looks after my money. I want other people to realise we aren't alone and we are good people who got sucked into this evil evil world of online gambling, and not to make the same mistake.
Affected by gambling?
