Great to see you are pulling people through Mixer, doing a superb job! I am going strong, I pop back regularly to see how everyone is getting on but I don't post as much. Keep up the good work people, don't let things get you down, we can all kick this habit where it hurts.

Well done velvet7, great job.

Thanks mixer, great roll call. Day 4 nearly done and I feel so strong. I opened up to my partner and am being supported. I feel so lucky, stupid for what I did, but lucky to feel finally free. Have a strong week everyone.

Thanks for checking in everyone and for your kind comments. And welcome Veebee to the Challenge!

Remember, everyone, this is serious. It matters. Be bloody determined. Take preventative action. Don't blame others. Don't blame the bookies etc. Take control and don't keep relapsing. Ban yourself from gambling, self exclusion can be done. Let others control your finances - for life, if necessary. Learn why we do this and remember it's all in our heads. I repeat, don't make excuses. Don't whine, don't moan. We can all do that; it's not going to help. Man Up! (Or whatever is the equivalent for a lady!)

Step up to the Challenge. It's up to you. Remember, we can all go gambling-free when we're skint. That's easy, because we have no money. Let's not kid ourselves, or others. When we have money - that's the test. Do you really want to P*** it all away?

Have a good Thursday and remember, if you're gambling-free because your skint because you've blown last months salary - here's the test, coming right up. Another payday. And don't forget - it's not all about you. It's about family, loved ones and friends who have to put up with this c**P too..

Think of them.

Have a great day all.

Mixer

Day 46 Checking in!

Better week this week, had a nice letter from Halifax, refunding my charges as they reviewed 2 of my closed accounts and unfairly added charges on. This is something i read up on Martin Lewis website 6months ago, sent them a letter and never heard anything until now. Good timing as christmas was putting the extra pressure on me financially, so that has definately lifted a huge weight off my shoulders. Id urge anyone whos had bank charges for missed payments/unplanned OD etc to do this, by Law the banks now have to review and if they didnt 'help' your situation and made things worse then your entitled to compo. could help you all out like is has done me. No harm in trying is there 🙂

Hope you are all well and staying Gambling Free.
