Hi all, recently placed Gamban on all my devices for 6 months. Haven't gambled in about 4 days. Feel pretty low without it. Even though this a big step for me and my denial, it doesn't feel positive. I know that I'm safer now and won't lose all my wages, just any idea when things start to feel better? I am going to try and stay busy and exercise a bit more but feel completely unmotivated with work and daily things at the moment. Thank you.

Thank you for posting on the forum and well done making changes – especially when you’re feeling low and unmotivated.
Even when we know an activity is ultimately causing harm, there can still be a sense of loss when we’re no longer doing it. Sometimes gambling can be used as a form of escape from difficult feelings and every day life. When we’re no longer gambling, we can notice thoughts and feelings that might have been masked previously.

I like the sound of your plan to exercise and keep busy – this should help with your ‘at risk’ times when you would be more likely to gamble but can also help with your low mood.
It does feel hard now but you will start noticing the benefits of stopping gambling and hopefully, you can have a read of others’ experiences on here who can confirm this.
