This year with the lockdowns has been bad with gambling, and some of the worst luck I’ve ever had. Lost £XX over the course of 3 days at one point. However next year is the start of a new decade and I’m reinventing myself, gambling has been a big part of my life since teenage years, but now I’m done with it. I know if I carry on I won’t be able to achieve all my hopes and dreams. And that’s just unacceptable. I’m very optimistic and positive, it is ultimately a choice we make, and we can choose not to gamble.

Hi well done for putting it out there that you are needing help. Gambling prays on you when you are at your lowest and clearly lockdown is contributing to that. You need to draw a line on your loses you will never get that money its gone and you don't want to add to that. If you really want to quit get registered with gamstop and put blocks on your phone it take the control of gambling out your hands. I am only on day 4 of having these blocks in place and it is helping knowing no matter if I wanted to i can't gamble. I hope everything works out for you.

@badgambler2208 When posting your thoughts can you say I, not we.

I'll read and respect your views but don't talk for anyone else other than yourself.

I didn't have a cloice with my gambling. If it was a choice I wouldn't have done it. I wouldn't have lost everything because I chose to. Today I have a choice because I work a program, have blocks in place, visit GA online and in person, but the only choice I have is to not place that first bet. After that I have no control, my addiction is too great.

Good luck with your recovery. How do you plan to do it?

Chris.
