Hi people.

First post and was wondering what tips anyone has or advice to kick this gambling lark. I'm sick fed up with it. I'm not ready for GA or counselling yet to be honest but any advice would be grateful. Its affecting all aspects of my life. I only gamble on football, mostly online.

Hello Dave,

I see from your other thread in the ‘New Members Intros’ section that things have moved on a bit and that you’re now due to use a counselling service. I hope that works out well for you. (GamCare also offer a free counselling service, by the way). You also mentioned that you have some debt issues (In your other thread), so here are a couple signposts for free debt advice:

http://www.nationaldebtline.co.uk/

http://www.stepchange.org/

I noticed that another user recommended that you use blockers, here are a couple for you to consider:

http://www.gamblock.com/index.html

Do feel welcome to talk with a GamCare adviser on our Freephone 0808 8020 133, or on our Netline, if you’d like more information or support.

Well done on the steps you’ve taken recently.

Adam.
