That time again.. Payday, bills have gone out and now I'm skint, I still had money of cause, enough to get by! But no.. Bet it, got it up to over £1,000 which would help me massively right now ans then lost it, all within half a day.. I don't feel anything, I tell myself I'm not addicted, I tell myself Im good at gsmbling, it's just knowing when to stop, but I literally can't, otherwise I'd be in Vegas living the high life, can't turn to anyone, can't face up to it, literally feel so broken right now and scared.

Don't be daft...You can stop this now! Use the loan to survive the month or give it back! You came here for help & you will get it! But you have to let your losses go! Come on, please don't do this to yourself, you deserve better!

Just finding it harder and harder to find the strength after each time I do this sorta thing, the amount of money I owe is frightening, just want to be back on the straight and narrow.

Lucky O,

The people that have responded to you know what they are talking about. You've got to treat the losses as dead money. It's gone like water under the bridge. Chasing losses is the quickest route to the poorhouse. You have got to break the vicious circle. When you next get paid give a trusted relative charge of your finances. Seek counselling via Gamcare and or go to a GA meeting.

If you have got what you consider to be overwhelming debts seek advice from The National Debtline and get payment arrangements in place with your creditors.

If you keep on going as you are it will really do your nut in. Allow yourself the opportunity to give yourself a little bit of peace. It'll be worth it.

Take Care Now.

I spent all my inheritance!! A lot!! And have an OD but i cannot get it back. The only thing i can do now is to get my bank balance back to 0 and rebuild my life. Its going to be very very tough but you have to be determined. Like MrStop says above 'Treat the losses as dead money' . YOU CAN ONLY CHANGE THE FUTURE

Take the advice lucky0, make a call to create a debt payment plan. I did similar things many times.
Ended up getting a payment plan through company called DFH but there are others that are free. If its too much for that then you can apply for an IVA payment plan too.
They contact all your debtors and arrange repayments and amounts. Interest stops and you also normally are then stopped from borrowing more due to it registering on your credit report. Time for drastic actions to put your life back in order.

You cannot do it on your own without talking to people, ring gamcare and speak to one of their reps who are truly excellent and they will most likely have been through it all too.

You aren't good at gambling, you are good at lying to yourself, just like I was.

Good point puppetpower. I was also great at lying to myself . Did it for 8 years!! I was kidding myself. This site has made me see the light. I honestly thought I was on my own . I and we are not alone. Not that I'm glad that others are in the same situation but being a bit selfish it helps me
