It can't be just me that has got gamblock installed on my computer, but then just gambles on there phone?
I know I should get rid of it as it's the main cause of my problem, but it's also how I keep in touch with my friends.
Anyone else have this problem?
Comments appreciated
Thanks for the reply Rob, and I learnt a lot from what you replied. Pay day loans are certainly not the way forward as if you can't pay it back you really are in trouble.
I only started taking loans out a couple of months ago, but as my bank has refused me one due to my poor credit score, the payday loans were my only option.
About the phones, I read that you can call up your phone company and they can block access to websites for over 18's, and seeming as I only use my phone for facebook, twitter, whatsapp etc this may be a good idea!
I also suffer from acne which i have done for almost 6 years now. This stops me going out as much and so I get bored and gamble instead.
I see you started your recovery a couple of days ago, how is it going for you? this is my first day and although I don't have money to gamble anyway, I hope this is the start of something new!
Let me know how its going and lets beat this!
Yes I hope to never take out another pay day loan (especially being a gambler) the pressure and not knowing whether you can pay them back on time is horrible!
Yeah I think it does block some things which you may be using now, but i'd ring up and see exactly what you would still be able to use!
Yeah i have gone weeks without gambling before, but when I do start again, I blow the lot normally.
Glad to hear things are going better for you mate, just remember that when you gamble, you are giving you hard earned money to a greedy company that preys on people like us that have an addiction.
Keep me updated on how your doing mate and I really believe we can get through this!

Hello Rob and thanks for your kind words!
Payday credit just puts more strain on a gambler then there already is which is sickening to think about.
Yeah to be honest with you I think the blocker would not work for me either, but being on this site is giving me so much hope for the future.
And yes mate this is my first couple of days on the site, Instead of trying to win my money back on Saturday, I self-excluded and made an account on here.
Lets do this as a team mate, keep in touch and let me know how you're getting on.
Cheers
Days clean:2
hey Rob how you getting on fella?
I'm 5 days gambling free and today was the hardest of them all. Was tempted to put some bets on but instead of what i normally I do, I just walked away and waited until the event had finished.
I've paid off one of my Pay day loans of around 450 so I only have one left to pay which I will do next payday (2 weeks)
Being in debt is depressing but I can see a light at the end of the tunnel and there is no turning back.
Affected by gambling?
