Hi all

I’ve been on here a few times it helps me a lot reading through the forum and I appreciate replies and advice I have received in the past. I am 26 years old and decided it’s time for change. My gambling started at younger than 18 where I was raised in a horse racing mad family. Once I was 18 I could legally gamble and online I had a few big wins and thought obviously it was great I was making money from my passion and hobby in horse racing but now 9 years down the line I’ve lost probably around 20K.

I am not in any debt and financially stable but that does not make the losses any easier to take when it’s written down on paper with a huge sum like 20K. I wouldn’t mind loosing a set limit I can afford a week as horse racing as a lot know it’s very rare you can actually make money from it betting but over the years I’ve chased my losses.

I suffer with depression and anxiety and the thoughts have been in my mind 24/7 after 2020 was probably my worst year in terms of chasing money and losses. I am now recieving weekly counselling over the phone through an agency and I hope this helps for me to draw a line in the sand and try and put the losses in the past and move forward. I hope I can continue to enjoy my hobby in horse racing but without the loosing of a lot of money.

Thanks for reading everyone like I said it just helps for me to post on here every now and then.
