So yesterday I relasped after 43 days without gambling. Im disappointed in myself and really struggling mentally. I just couldn't resist the urge it got to loud. So i found a way round gamstop, which did not.end well as not only did i gamble but I used a site that wasn't safe and had fraud activity on my bank card so had too cancel and deal with that. I just want to warn others. So I have too start all over again. I just feel so down and feel like I have no fight in me. Im so so tired. I dont know what to do with myself Â

you've done really well... 43 days right on, know its hard now but be gentle on/with yourself , a relapse doesn't take away from the amazing control you've had thus far..... some of us don't even go 5 days.... more breaks you have the clearer your head will be.... and ultimately no gambling very very cool well done.
at this juncture.. is best i feel to just increase your blocks in place... protect yourself further from mass damage mainly financial... as you see routes youve found through...i'd adjust your cards to no online usage... but thats me.
again well done for breaking the habit.. very strong and powerful actions.
take care and hope you rationalise ok with yourself.. move on stronger then ever..
Hi walks. I can imagine you feel bad. However following my relapse I finally saw the light and to be totally honest I am glad I relapsed. It taught me so much and this time around I was able to tackle this completely differently.Â
Sorry to hear about your relapse, however i agree with debsy,Â
Use this relapse to learn where you went wrong, triggers access etc. Perhaps speak to gamcare and get gamban they offer it for free and it will block you even accessing the sites
Also ask your bank if they can block future gambling transactions. Sorry to hear about the fraud activity too ive had someone take a lot of money from me through fraud before and it can be a stressful experience
You did well before your relapse, as debsy said it could make you stronger this time round. Although its normal to feel rubbish and down post relapse i understand that. I too myself have relapsed before and i did the gamchange course through gamcare that helped.

Hi Loux
I can imagine how deflated you must feel but just try to think of the first attempt as both a victory and a practice "run". As the others have said, it was a brilliant achievement and you will have gained loads of valuable insight from this.
A relapse may be highly disheartening but the gambling monster saw a chink in your armour and made a beeline for it. You are only human, we don't have superpowers.
I have just checked how many days I havent gambled and its 150. That will be more than some but a lot less than many. How I got to this point was the forum then a conversation with an advisor then counselling and then the NHS Gambling Treatment service. I did install blocks and do have Gamstop. Having Gamstop gave me breathing space whilst I had treatment.
On your 2nd attempt you'll have knowledge you didn't have before and as the saying goes "knowledge is power".
Kindest regards.
