I got this idea from another post I wrote. The idea is that I will pubicly (in this forum) slagg off my gambling to, help reduce any future cravings or false optimism.

My gambling on slots is boring, pointless, robotic, selfish, stupid..and un-romantic. Part of my mind was so weak I gave up giving up. My (gambling) routine was a tragic cycle of self-harm, attention seeking and reality avoidance. It was like I was failing at failing or something LOL.
Through gambling I badly damaged my reputation, confidence, attractiveness and finanaces.
I am annoyed with my gambling self. The parts of me that are more pure and spiritual are finally starting to crush the evil, warped, deluded and brain-washed mind-set that tried to posses my soul!
What is the gambling self? Surely there's just your consciousness?
Unless you are actually suffering from a split personality.
I find it interesting when people refer to their gambling as 'other selfs' or 'Mr Gamble'. Can you have real acceptance of your addiction if you are blaming some 'other' part of you, or fighting this 'other'? Sounds fishy and I don't see how you can.
Also not convinced that 'slagging yourself off' and calling yourself weak is great therapy. At best, it's 'out there'.
Actually, I read that the left and right hemispheres of our brain are connected by some kind of nerve chord. If you cut this chord - then you CAN actually be separately conscious in each hemisphere. Which is kind of hard to get your head around. The left hemisphere is linked to your right eye, and right hemisphere vice versa. So, for people with 'split brains' you can actually do tests where you can address either hemisphere. Tests have been done in people with split brains - where each hemisphere has been asked what it's dream job is - one side saying a teacher and the other an astronaught.
Weird stuff. But yeah, one consciousness for me. One love.
