Hi there. Driving home yesterday I got to thinking of how hard we have to work to make money to live on never mind making a profit looking back through all the relentless labour such as demolition, hand digging, lugging huge concrete blocks etc with sweat pouring out

It hit me that we do that then with the flick of a button it’s gone when did we lose respect for money hard earned was it because we no longer got a wage packet stuffed with notes or is it the case that our jobs got cushy and we lost respect

Surely we can get back to the value of our labour and make sure that we use it wisely always

I’ve had this same exact same thought. My gambling problem was 100 percent through a phone I have no interest in bookies or casinos but always used to end up gambling in the early hours on some pointless things. God knows why. I haven’t gambled for 6 weeks now and my latest pay was withdrew as soon as it went in the bank and this strategy seems to work but the money I’ve spent and time wasted staring at my phone makes me feel sick knowing how hard I’ve worked for it. Hope all is well my friend 👍

Online banking and online money in it's own right is not quite the same as physical money, the speed by which we can transact those numbers that are not in our hand and not real 24x7x365 puts us all in a different world.  Many years ago,  access was limited to gambling - now it is not and we will be presented with daily enticements.   The first step is one of acceptance and becoming complete gamble free and ensuring you look to self exclude www.self-exclusion.co.uk and put in barriers and gambling blocking software to resist those urges.  Have been gamble free for a number of years now at the outset,  I could not imagine not making a bet.  However as time goes on not gambling it gets a lot easier.  You have to make the start and process one day at a time, wake up each day and say 'Today is going to be a good day.   I am not gambling today."

It's true that earning money these days is difficult, which is why I think it's critical to set boundaries for how much you're ready to spend both financially and mentally on gaming. This includes setting win limits (that is, the point at which you should quit if you're winning) and loss limits (which is the moment at which you should quit if you're losing). In order to gamble responsibly, you must set boundaries, have reasonable expectations, and enjoy the game without taking on more risk than you can afford to lose. Always remember that.
