Well my last gamble date was 16th December 2014...until yesterday.

I don't even know what triggered me but I ended up depositing £300 on a site that I had not banned myself from.

The part I am most ashamed of? That horrible black and red wheel made me £3000. Did I withdraw? Of course not, I'm an idiot.

I actually remember my balance being £3333....such a huge amount of money, that would have helped me out a lot. I said to myself "I should really withdraw right now" but I was getting greedier and my spins were getting bigger...

I'm sure you know the rest.

I hate myself, why do I do this to myself? I was doing so well 🙁

Hi - 6 months is really good and I can understand why you are fed up, it's not just the money but the giving into temptation.

If you are like I used to be once you get to a certain amount you cannot bear to have less than that or feel as if you have lost it but the reality is you have lost £300 which isn't ideal but isn't a disaster. The important thing is to try and forget the £3333 it was only ever a number on your screen and a temporary loan which you ended up paying back (which we all do or have done).

Try and make sure you get to and exceed 6 months gamble free again and you will be one happy bunny.

I wish you really well and think you will have learnt from this small slip but please don't do it again.

Dave

Try not to beat yourself up. Forget about that blip and move forward. It's the only way to do it. Good luck.

Oh no im so sorry.

when you said "you was doing so well" you really wasn't doing well at all because you placed a bet, as soon as you placed that bet you was going to lose.

You could have won £6000 or £60 and it would have made no different, you would have lost it all again, because you can't stop once you start.

The real achievment here is that you stopped for 6 months! That's wonderful and you need to get back on that.

dont chase anything, don't beat yourself up either. Just use that £3000 loss to remind yourself that you still can't gamble, your still addicted and so you need to resume quitting gambling like you have done the last 6 months,

well done on the 6 months and go get yourself back on the clean path 🙂 xx

I'm in a similar boat. Lost £500 today playing online roulette. Kept chasing until the kit was gone. Started with a £10 deoosit and ended with a £200 deposit which was gone in 5 spins. Feel awful like I have done a number of times but still I never learn. What's worse was that I was starting to see the benefits of not gabbling but all my good work has been undone...again.
