Has any one else experienced this..
So I have gamban on my phone & signed up to GamStop.. anyway..
An unlicensed online casino managed to contact me, convincing me to sign up to a casino.. so I did..
I DID NOT KNOW IT WAS UNLICENSED as it claimed to be licensed by the gambling comission..
I spend money as I was promised bonuses, promotions VIP levels etc, cash back etc..
Anyway after I did some research, I then learnt that it was an unlicensed online casino.. I have reported it to the gambling comission. .
Is there anything in place that protects problem gamblers from this kind of thing? Has anyone else had any experience of this?
Please, I don't want hate replies to this post.. I am looking for advice, help & support.
Hello Bee,
Well done for registering with GamStop.
You mentioned that you were able to access a gambling site despite having GamBan. On the GamBan website they invite you to report these sites to GamBan, so they can block them: "If you have found a site that you think should be blocked, please let our customer support team know either by email [email protected] or via our Live Chat".

You mentioned that the gambling site had contacted you, so you might like to look at this information too:
Some of our forum members allow a trusted person to supervise their spending, in case that helps by increasing inhibition on spending on gambling, or by allowing slip-ups to become apparent promptly.
Please call us at any time of you would like to talk it over.
Take care,
Adam.
