Glad Stepchange is helping you, Clarkey, and glad you heeded my advice 😉
Day 36 GF
Still GF despite someone really making life difficult recently.
I rise above it all, strong and focussed and take another step forward.
Decided that the only way to deal with negativity is to remove it, so my focus and steel now become threefold - Staying Gambling free, Getting fit, and making moves to free my kids and myself from the pain of living with an alcoholic.
I dont appear to do things in half measures 🙂
Onwards and upwards - bring it on.....im as strong as i have ever been !!
Have a clean, positive day.

Thank you for the welcome guys 🙂 Checking in day 3 GF and although I have tried and failed in the past never been so positive in my whole life about being able to kick this addicition. I came clean to my family and closest friends last night, tears, disappointment and relief of the past 11 years is hard to put into words the emotions of the past few days. I have my uncle coming over tonight for a coffee, he has been GF for over 25 years and to this day still battles the temptation of not gambling, I am hoping that listening to how his life has changed helps me. My biggest fear is that I can't see myself not gambling the rest of my life but I know I NEED to for myself and family.....
Thanks again guys and good luck everyone 🙂
The family thing is hard and heartbreaking but commit yourself 100% focus on your recovery and promise yourself to never gamble and it can get better good luck.
Well doone KO. Opening up to your family is half the battle won. Stay focussed, keep posting and the gamble free days will pass quickly. Do not think about "never gambling again." This is purely addiction talking and this feeling will subside. You know that you could always gamble if you want to, but after a few weeks of being gamble free you will probably realise that not gambling again is hardly a big loss - on the other hand it is a big win. It is hard to see that right now as you are still fresh of your latest loss but have a little faith, take each day as it comes and you will surprise your self. Good luck. Markman 22 days GF.
Thanks for your understanding message Mixer. It does mean a lot!
Determined to keep fighting and to go much better than last time out.
Still confident!
All blocks have been put into place, so I'm ready to begin my journey again...
