Hi all, sorry to be lax in my posting, very busy at work. Sorry to hear you had a slip Mixer, but as you say , no consoling words for you, just back on the wagon. I believe tomorrow is the ton up for me. The first 5-6 weeks seemed easy, as I was focused on my goal to see gamble free bank statements. The difficulty arrises when you have achieved your initial aim and complacancy sets in. I set myself another one, by calculating what i would usually lose in a month and putting it in a separate bank account. I now have nearly £2,000 put aside. That will be a chunk off my mortgage I will pay next week. I cannot comprehend what draws us to gamble, sure there is some enjoyment but we know we will never win in the long term. That is what we have to keep telling ourselves, every day!
Checking in. Day 27.
Dust yourself down Mixer and take another step forward once more, we are all walking with you.
Take care everyone and so will I.
Our Lady.
Count me in,, i will do this, one day at a time.. My gambling addiction sickens me,, ive had enough, this is it... Rainman.
Hey Mix.....I'm back! I'm still gamble free 🙂
It's not getting any easier and everyday is still an inner battle with myself but staying away from the forum was the wrong decision....I need you guys....
Proud to walk beside you Mix.....I also wish to start again with you Deano, SBB and Rhoda....We can do it together....Strength in numbers Mix, and as Deano said...."no soldier left behind".
Hugs.... Mari xxx

*** ROLLCALL OF SUCCESS ***
Congratulations to fiddlesticks, comfortably over that 100 day barrier, and babapapa, who hits 100 days today! Keep alert gentlemen, but well done for reaching a very meaningful total - what a statement of intent.
*** WELCOME *** TO HerotoZero, let's get your name changed to ZeroToHero, one day at a time. And Rainman, delighted to have you joining us. Welcome aboard!
*** GLITCH UPDATE *** There has been a glitch in my statistics; we are actually at Day 92 not Day 91; I missed a day a while back! My computer blew a gasket (well - rather - I did - "garbage in, garbage out" is the well worn phrase..!). My apologies.
Thank you, as always, for updating your diaries and checking in. We are now 35 strong, and let's keep supporting each other in the fantastic way we always do. Help ourselves first, and, if we can, help others - good karma.
Mari (SC) - welcome back and really glad you're keeping well. I would like to thank you, Dean0, Rhoda and Sbb for resetting your '100 day challenge' scores and walking beside me after my recent lapse - a lovely gesture from you all. Thank you. What a team spirit we have fostered here and I'm delighted and honoured to be part of what is a 35-strong great bunch of people!
Babapapa, thank you for sharing the tangible benefits of being GF; a lovely chunk to pay of the mortgage indded. The interest saving, even in an era of low interest rates, has made your decision a wise one.
Vamp; agreed, picturing bosses of some of more cynical gambling operators out there NOT getting our money is a nice thought indeed.
Sbb, really great to know that your newly-revised 100-day challenge total falls 'slap bang' in the middle of a well-deserved sunshine break. I will certainly toast your good health when the day arrives!
Our Lady, keep it going, doing a fantastic job 🙂
Let's enjoy our weekend. Gambling free!
*** JOKE OF THE DAY ***
There was a young woman who lived with her grandmother.
One night, the granddaughter came bouncing down the stairs dressed to go out to a party wearing a see-through blouse without a bra.
Her grandmother told her to go back upstairs and "dress decent".
''No, I want to show off my rosebuds!'' said the daughter and bounded out the door.
The next day, the granddaughter came outside to find her grandmother on the porch wearing a see-through blouse without a bra.
The granddaughter was aghast !
''Grandmother! What are you doing? A couple of other friends are coming over any time now! Please go change your blouse, I'm so embarrassed!''
Her grandmother replied:
''Listen... if you can show off your rosebuds , then I can show off ...
My hanging baskets!''
WCAWW!
56 days think iv missed a check in so think I might be out challenge?
No worries Clarkey, sometimes some of us can't always check in regularly, so you are still very much part of our challenge 🙂

Have rested this week, or rather have been too overworked to post. Day 68 gamble free today. Definitely have a void to fill but no wavering. Total respect to you Mixer. The easy thing to do would have been to sweep the slip under the carpet. Your honesty is exactly why you are the man to lead us on this thread. When the king the falls the soldiers are there to pick him up and carry him forward!
Checking in 22 days GF today 🙂
