After 4 months gamble free, a £20 deposit for the football the weekend just gone has left me £600 down 4 days later.
If i dont have access to these online sites, i don't lose a penny. It has happend to me twice now in 6 months, a little deposit leaving me chasing and over £500 lost each time a couple of days later. I can go months without a bet but the minute i do and it doesnt go well i end up chasing and i cant seem to stop so i need to find a blocking software to block everything. I have an iphone and have tried playing around with my phone settings and there is always ways around them to get to the gambling sites.
I have been looking at betfilter, £54 for the year, i dont mind that considering i just blew £600 in 4 days it sounds cheap when you put it like that. Any one tried this app and recommend it?
If not betfilter is there anything else that can be recommended? I just want a software which means no access to these sites.
Hi I'm new here too (will post my story on the introduce yourself thread soon)
Basically, I've had to come clean about my gambling and debt problems and have not gambled since (25 days now)
I do however still have easy access to online bookmakers if I choose to. (I haven't so far and I'm proud to say that)
But having read about others having relapses I know it could just be round the corner, if that makes sense.
So in short (sorry for rambling) I would also like to know which blocking software is best, preferably free? I have a Samsung smartphone so would need to be compatible.
Soz peeps no time to chat but hopefully the attached link will be if some use?

Maybe a phonecall to GamCare would be worth your while as each device is different. There is a sticky thread on this subject which would be worth a look.
Affected by gambling?
