Hi guys, almost crumbled yesterday after a good week, it's Royal Ascot next week, one of my favourite weeks of the year, I know my self exclusion period has ended with one site, as I did a 2 year exclusion in 2012, I almost convinced myself I could unlock it and bet responsible last night, I rang the number to re-open and then hung up halfway through giving my details. Maybe a small victory but still have major urges in the war to stop, next week will be a nightmare and have that big voice in my head to ignore. How do you cope with your urges ? Cheers.

Having urges is part and parcel of the recovery process. It's not a sign of weakness to have them. Weakness would've been succumbing to temptation. Your actions have demonstrated that you now possess the resolve to say no. You could've given in but you didn't. Well done. I'm a firm believer in rewarding yourself. Spend the money you would've gambled on a treat. Appreciate money again and the good things you can do with it!
