WEEK 3.

Short and sweet post today - plodding along nicely (apart from not paying my mortgage last month due to my "moment of madness". Hoping I can sort something out with my mortgage providers concerning this. Anyway, cant wait to get paid again this month (got a hard couple of weeks ahead until then) but knowing that once I'm paid, all my monthly outgoings can resume once again, which pleases me.

Not gambling forces you to become patient. I am gradually getting there - bit by bit, step by step.

Take care all.

Feb - patiently plodding along on 'The Bright Side of the Road'.

Hello Feb

Sorry to hear about your slip up last month, those can be more painful than the addiction itself ! especially when abstaining for a long time, i guess we just have to learn from them.

Good to hear in your post that your getting it back together after your head fell off, i wish you continued strength.

Feb glad to hear you are back on the wagon... relapses if dealt with in the proper way can be a positive thing!!!

Keep the chin up and continue gamble free and the finances will sort themselves as a result.

All the best

WEEK 4

Still on "The Bright Side of the Road" - just!! I have now asked Virgin to put a block on my mobile (after my moment of madness episode). I have now rang them SIX times and I still have access!!! I have just hurled my phone across the bedroom in frustration at them.

I am getting paid next Friday and want all barriers in place for then. I have never gambled on my phone before my lapse and I want that to be the first and last time - it is not for the want of trying!!! If needs must, I will leave my phone in work each night until I can finally sort this out although I am at the end of my tether with Virgin at the min, I must say!!

Hoping some sleep will help.

Good night all.

Feb - feeling very frustrated on "The Bright Side of the Road"

lady Feb.

be kind to yourself my friend.

You are dealing with it. if your provider won't help change networks, I am on orange and the phone is blocked through age restriction controls called safe guard.

I have never gambled electrically and never plan to.

keep up the good work.

Duncs stepping forward never back.

Thanks Duncs.

That"s what Virgin keep telling me they have done - put an age restriction on my phone, to include gambling sites amongst other things.

I am going to ring them again today - I wont give up!!

Feb,

Thanks for the post on my diary, which was much appreciated. I didn't gamble today and it because of the on-going support I receive.

It is appalling that you have called six times without success. Life is already hard without that rubbish.

Keep on moving forward. Every day we make the right choices about our addiction is a significant day.

Tomso.

Feb

I hope you got the issue with the phone sorted, although as a warning I will say this about the safeguard app.

It has a flaw, if you access a site through opening an email the system fails you and lets you access. I have emailed orange today regarding this and hope it may be addressed. I found out through a friend from GA, we were talking about phone gambling and it came up, lol he is far more technically minded than me!!!

Just thought it might be of a help to you, me I dont know how to access email upon my old phone!!

Hi Feb,

Hope everything is well with you. I know you have decided to post weekly, so just popping by to send some good wibes your way:-)

Read your diary today, from the very beggining, you are such a determined lady and i was very inspired by the way you look at this recovery.

I am 100% behind you and am sure you will go miles and miles in this recovery. Never look back, just take a day as it comes.

Take care

Sandra x
