WEEK 5.

Thanks Duncs, Jac and Sandra for your kind words and support. Duncs, still not got my mobile sorted!! Virgin kept insisting they had put a block on my phone even though I told them I had the phone in front of me and could access the gambling site!! I have now done the next best thing which is to self exclude myself from this site.

Pay day came on Friday and I was able to go out on a Leaving Do at work. Had a great night - been recovering all day, hence the late post but I did manage to spend way less than I took out which is a great help.

Been thinking and slightly worrying about my finances - think maybe triggered by my annual StepChange review and Christmas looming. Still, at this point, just need to keep reminding myself how good it feels to be able to pay all my bills!!

Take care all.

Feb - Down but not beaten on "The Bright Side of the Road".

Hey feb,

Just wanted to stop by and say hello, glad your doing well and back in the saddle. Its been real tuff for me also, seemed like i hit day 200 and had lots of urges to go to the casino, iam really starting to realize how strong this addiction is we all have on here. Be proud of your hard work and honesty in your Journey to abstain for 200 days, and much congrats to your 5 weeks. Stay strong Feb!

Hiya the phone things a bit of a joke but I think customer service departments can be bloody useless at times. Glad you had a good night out the other night and I can't believe it's now week 5 for ya, it's gone so quick and you've really reacted well and going so strong, really impressed. The thread is almost at its end, Friday is the next check in and then next well well be the last. Next week will be a Saturday check in for the final one. Take care and look forward to seeing you at the finish line.

Feb,

Well done on reaching week 5 of no gambling. So unfair all the rubbish you are having to put up with ref your phone. You are probably stressed out of your head trying to contact them all the time to put the block on. Anyway, you are dealing with it and you aint gambling and that is all that matters.

Take care.

Tomso.

Great to read the positively in your last thread and thanks for the support on mine. 6 weeks is brilliant and remember you only had one blip in over 210 days before this, so you are very much on the bright side of the road.

Good on you for remaining on the straight and narrow, life is certainly happier without gambling in it

WEEK 7.

Still gamble free and remaining in "normality" mode I am happy to say. Plus, I have been enjoying myself and have been doing lots of nice things with friends and family to even think about gambling - why would I want to anyway when it just brings about sadness and desperation??

Just become a great Aunty again yesterday to a lovely little great nephew!!

Take care all and have a lovely weekend.

Feb - Tired but still on "The Bright Side of the Road".
