Thanks for the messages and you are correct, it will be a big test . My Achilles heal was the bookies and the casino’s, I have had to write a letter to the casino to let me back in as I banned myself last Xmas for 6 months.

I have to tell you I am a little apprehensive as it’s an event I can’t get out of, liquid refreshments will be flowing and we normally get free chips to play. However, life is full of tests I need to tackle this with 100% commitment.

I have to pack myself now after I decided to cancel the packers. Two hours work they'd get £350 no chance if it takes me day before removal to pack up I will save that money towards tiles for a new bathroom!

I would be more than a little apprehensive. Your further on than me, record Allen Carr favourite sayings and play them back to yourself if it in-nerves you!

Unfortunately Bella it’s an event I have to go to as I have bailed out in the past and it was noticed. I will however try to be watchful the whole evening and keeping my wits about me.

Weather is so cold! I've been packing for two days I got a week before I move and this packing is never ending. Donating 10 bags of clothes and bedding. And half my furniture. Hadn't even noticed the weather tbh.

It's a fabulous feeling having no urge to gamble. I will take up crocheting once I moved.

Day 41.. Nearly 42.

Thought of the day, whatever that has gone on bad as a result of gambling, draw a line under it and forget the past. Only live in the moment and that is, WE ARE NO LONGER GAMBLERS.

I like that last post. It’s helped me in the past. If I don’t draw that line then I’m always thinking about recouping losses. I hope I can stand by you and we can get through this.

How do you quote and then write underneath???? Driving me mad not to know how 🙁

Middle of the week and we are striving forward with this no gambling lark and it is a lark. I mean you wants to participate in an activity where we ultimately lose money and feel like zombies for days.

Just thinking about my strategy for this Saturday, I have a plan but when ‘liquid refreshment’ are flowing then it’s harder to stick to schedule, I will however prevail.
