Hi HeroToZero,
well done on your 10 days gambling free. Keep going, it sounds like you are doing well.
All the best,

Go you HTZ X
11 days GF.
Last few days I have not been feeling good mentally and been in bad moods.
Not sure if this is gambling related whether that be not gambling or what gambling has done to me or maybe even both however I need to try and sort this!
You do, and that is where counselling will help and what it is there for. We all need to off load stuff in a space that can help us focus...Sort of like a controlled environment. Did the counselling people get back to you? They deal with a lot of people, so don't be holding back in following it up. When you need help, you need it now....Keep the faith HTZ......it will get easier. x
Counselling havent got back to me... Been over a week since they got in touch to say they would arrange it.
12 days GF and my second weekend!
You need to get back in touch with them then. You have given them a week, which is long enough...I suggest you call them as soon as poss and get that moving, keep marching forward.

Today has been tough, car repairs are required and I dont have the money for it until payday.
I tried to convince myself that i could gamble and win that money but thankfully I didnt have enough time to linger on that theory.
Tough week or so ahead with payday required to ease my financial burden a little.
13 days GF.
After 13 days GF I decided to venture into the bookies and lose all my money again on FOBT.
I have now had to take out my second payday loan this month to get me through the month and pay for my car.
I am beginning to feel helpless, struggling big time!
Contacted RCA Trust again who are going to arrange counselling for the beginning of June which seems a long way away just now.
Really dont know what to do anymore.
Argh htz. .
I'm assuming your addiction convinced you you could win your car repair money on a fobt !
That's exactly how I use to roll...
You know as well as I do love...it ain't going to happen....
And at some point if you continue this way ....youll reach a crisis point....payday loans will say no !
Then you'll be even worse....it's not a case of if....it's when...
Get those blocks higher...
Self exclude..
Hand over cash/cards...
There's always a way ...
You've just got to want to go that way....take care
Feeling horrendous, feeling trapped at a dead end but today I will have to try and pick myself back up and go again.
Unfortunately mate your in a vicious circle and until you start 1-1 counciling and putting proper blocks in place all that will keep happening is you will go a week or 2 GF then back to square one!! This will repeat over & over again like Groundhog Day unless you have more than willpower.
Sorry to sound so brutal but it's pure honesty, from someone who has been exactly in your shoes! Everyone wants to stop & starts out determined but unless you have blocks in place to stop you gambling when your feeling low or have urges nothing will change. Also getting counciling to work through issues causing the gambling & to help you going forward is essential.
I hope you finally do do it mate as I can see your completely fed up with this repeating every month.
Goodluck

Tough day... Cant stop thinking / wishing i never got myself in this mess... In a dark place.
Gf today.
HTZ just wondering how you were doing. Have not seen you around. Hope things are okay. Nearlu at the start of June, when they could offer you some counselling.
Take care.

Hope you are ok HTZ. I have come to realise that only when our minds and hearts are in the same place, can we move forward, and it doesn't happen overnight. You keep finding ways to gamble...so your blocks aren't working, therefore you must be choosing to carry cash/cards and your exclusions from bookies aren't working. Have you got the counselling sorted yet? What about GA? I watch people walk into our GA Room, they sit there and say 'it's not for me, I don't like talking in a group' but they commit to giving it a go...and the changes are phenomenal. Gambling takes our time, but we give it freely. Gambling makes us uncomfortable, but we throw ourselves into it. I've come to believe that to arrest the gambling, we have to step into the uncomfortable, we have to do what we don't want to do. We have to reach out to people...and not a machine. You can stop HTZ, you can turn things around, but you will need to keep reaching out, you will need to strengthen your blocks. Best wishes.
