It's tough mate but the only other option is worse misery and you nor I want that so stay focused. Don't even think about gambling just get your head dont for sleep and when you wake up you'll have completed the day and then what happens?... we go again... and we tick off each hour that the day bring. Eventually the habit will be broken.

Another good one is watching some comedy - I don't know what you like but anything works for me... Chris Rock, Dave Chapelle, Steve Hughes, Bill Burr...

Hi Graeme, well done on 3 days! It's not easy mate but the decisions you make now will greatly affect what you do next! Keep thinking about other things (you should be very proud that you are graduating today) and it will get easier. I would also suggest that self excluding from your online accounts will put a barrier in place to help you through those "itches". Remember that if you want to stop then day 4 will always follow day 3 so take it one day, one hour, one minute at a time and remember that a few good decisions will quickly add up!

All the best for today and your journey through recovery.

Scott

Evening Graeme first of all congratulations on graduating and going 4 days without a bet. Both huge achievements. Four days might not sound a lot but considering the thoughts and struggles you had on day 2 four days is a lot. We have to take this on one day at a time. Every day you don't gamble you will feel stronger the next day. Congrats again mate and good luck.

Just saw your other thread there mate and just to add on. You should definitely give GA a try. I always said I was going and never did. Then finally did it and it's been such a huge help. Just genuine people with same problem as ourselves all helping one another out. I don't know if you've been before but would definitely give it a go.

Keep going mate. It does get easier, remember why you stopped in the first place. Don't let the b-----d bookmakers get any more of your money.

Good luck
