Feeling great and very clear headed, only joined this forum on Thursday after deciding on Tuesday that enough was enough and I had to quit for good.
I've tried stopping previously with no luck but I'm hoping that logging onto the forum every day will give me the inspiration I need to jack it in for good.
Next milestone is to get to 4 weeks.
Here's to a gamble free life
Hi Ian :))
Feels kinda good doesn't it taking back control and reaching that first milestone of aweek gamble free :)) ..................... I spent many hours on here when I first arrived and found it quite theraputic talking with others and reading the tales from likeminded gambling folk ................................Keep logging on my friend and you'll smash that month in no time ( well 3 weeks ) but it'll soon pass :))
Congratulations on your first week gamble free and all the best for now :))
Alan
Cheers Alan and yes reaching 1 week does feel great.
Got a routine going where I log on and spend around half an hour reading through the forums with my morning coffee
If I manage the 4 weeks then the next milestone I'm setting is my brothers wedding in August
Day 7 GF
Feeling great and can honestly say that I've had no urges to gamble whatsoever so far.
Not gonna get complacent though as I know the risk of relapse is always there
Day 9 GF
Had a vivid dream last night that I was playing online slots (my biggest vice) I even remember feeling gutted in the dream as I had gone back to square 1 in giving up.
Was great when I woke up though and realised it was all in my head.
Still no real urges to gamble during waking hours 😉
Hi Lanherts and well done so far on your journey. Try not to look too far ahead, just take things a day at a time and the rest will take care of itself.
It won't be the last gambling related dream you will have lol! I usually have a couple a month now and like yours they are very vivid. Goes to show you the addiction is always there hiding in the background waiting to pounce.
Keep doing the right things and good things will happen!
All the best
Thanks for the message Sam Crow (how good is Sons of Anorchy btw 🙂
Today is day 10 gamble free, feels good to get to double figures, can't even imagine how good the feeling would be getting to treble figures but you are right I'll try not to get too far ahead of myself.
Here's to a gamble free day everyone
Hi Ianherts.
Just wanted to say a big well done on getting into your double figures. I personally have felt that having mini goals in place, has really helped me remain focussed on what I want to achieve.
Best of luck for your next milestone.
