Baljit,

Just go one day at a time.

Bite sized chunks.

It's the way to go.

It's very difficult, I know having failed so many times.

But now I have completed day 83 and things are amazingly different. You can do it too.

Keep strong, it's early days for you, but one day at a time you can come through it!

David

You need more help than this site could ever offer,do you READ any of it,there must be a 1000 posts re: GAMBLOCK.

You are paying lip service to what is for many a life shattering addiction,i only replied to your excuse of a post because i am incensed at your complete lack of effort and abundance of lame excuses.

I could be BACK with a vengeance to give out some hard hitting advice!!! especially to people like YOU Baljit.

Yeh for some betting IS like a drug, secret is STOP TAKING IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lets hope your your chat with god teaches you some humility and shows you how to live life as a humble man.

How about getting rid of your PC?

I have even thought about this in the past as life before PCs was actually quite nice. Fortunately, I have never been sucked into the evil world of online gambling, FOBTs and fruit machines were my vice.

Just my thoughts...

Getting There

Hi Baljit

I have been reading your thread with a kind of morbid fascination. You obviously know that you have a problem but don't you aren't doing enough to help yourself. I don't want to try to give you advice because it's all been said, but I will suggest one thing- next time you post on here, why don't you write instead of just saying that you will never do it again, say how you are going to quit. You need to think about these solutions yourself. People will support you if you only make the effort. Because if you are for real, and I think you are, you are in deep trouble and you appear to need professional help. However, no professional will help you unless you are willing to help yourself, try identify ways that you can stop and show that you are willing. Nothing can stop you from doing this except yourself.

I wish you good luck and just remember that however much trouble you are in, things can always be sorted out, to a point. You need to think about how much you are going to lose before you consider it to be your rock bottom- do you need to lose your home, your wife and your family before it gets to that point?

Baljit?

Like many others.. I've just read your diary in its entirity for the first time.

I offer NO advise or support as all you do is throw it back in peoples faces. I could send you a "well done" message but it would fall on deaf ears.

I don't recall seeing you EVER respond to a single question asked yet.. I know it's a diary and you don't generally have to respond to anyone but surely a simple reply to a question is better than just posting about your latest episode in donating to a bookie or online casino and then a bs promise that you'll be giving up again.

Carry on gambling til you have NOTHING... Reach rock bottom and then hopefully you'll finally realise that something has to change... I'm not often frustrated enough to criticise peoples efforts on here.. But you are taking the absolute mickey...

Only you can sort this... Read a few diaries and see the consequences.. Peoples lifes are in tatters over gambling.. Some people have lost EVERYTHING.. No husbandwife.. No house.. No job..freedom taken away from them.. If you've got these left.. Like myself.. Count yourself LUCKY.

Get a filter on your pc.. Betfilter.. Gamblock.. Netnanny.. K9 or whatever... Or... Give your pc or laptop away.. Wouldn't even suggest selling it.. Cos I know what you'd do with the money... Self exclude from EVERY bookies in a 50 mile radius. Hand over control of your finances to your wife.. Your employer will pay your money straight into her account if you so wish...

Said I wouldn't offer support or advise.. You've already been given it on many occasions.. There it is again!!!

We know it aint easy... But you know you've got to do this... Or maybe you don't....

Some fantastic people here.. I swear to god, some of these diaries and posts on here have been the inspiration to take me into day 12 bet free... Please stop insulting them.

We can not win cos we can not stop

Hi Baljit...it's Jas,

Just caught up with your diary. I am sorry to read you are still in the cycle of gambling addiction. You know you have a problem but you can't quite bring yourself to do anything about it?

You have to face it Baljit....if you want to of course...look in the mirror and be true to yourself and your family...ask yourself some questions?

Are you a compulsive gambler?

Do you want to change?

You seem to have moved from the bookies to online? Get betfilter on Baljit...do it now!

Thinking of you...Jas x
