A year on gamble free

Hello mate. Don't let gambling ruin Xmas. You've come along way 200+ days is great going. You know the right things to do. Just don't get complacent and don't forget how strong this addiction can be - i did! If things get a bit tough get back on here.

First Christmas as a married man, then what a way to start the new year with the honeymoon and starting the new year with a gamble free attitude, with around 250 days bet free. Truly turned your life around. Nice one mate.

Hi everyone thanks for all the posts. Ye urges came and I struggled to fight them off but luckily I am self excluded from everywhere so couldn't gamble I just stayed away from the pubs. After a few days they left me and hopefully will stay in hiding until next year.

I have been very distant from here lately just because I have had so much going on in my life regards to work. I have finished at Jones' boot makers. Got a job at my Grandads company which I was always hoping to land so very pleased with that. Means I can come on here much more because I work 12 hour shift on security and get to use my laptop. I got all blocks in place for gambling on here if I feel any urges so I covered my own back.

Ye it is less than 3 weeks now I think until I go away well on the 5th Jan I am away for an amazing cruise. Just been spending on ******* for clothes etc and managed to buy my wife lots of lovely gifts for christmas.

Also got my redundancy money early so Now Officially debt free 😀

c*t believe I can actually say that i was strong enough to spend all that money on clearing my debts and using the money wisely.

Sorry for rambling just thought I would give you all an update. Most importantly still gamble free and going strong 🙂

You deserve it mate youve put in the hard work and got through the tough times. Just keep it up, no complacency, your in a good place now - enjoy it. Im sure you and your wife will have a great christmas.
