I may start singing because talent counts for nowt!!!!!!! You know who you are X!!!!!!

Up until now well twenty past seven I had a great day, breakfast in bed, walked dog, watched parks football, lunch , papers another stroll with the dog then my lasagne, lovely and all because time is mine and not my addictions, not a second for you!!!!

You make a great point on my diary which I never thought of. Tobacco advertising is finished now if I am not mistaken and in time the same should happen with gambling. When I was younger I couldn't even point out a bookies in the street. I don't know if that will be the case for my children in years to come. If someone wants to walk into the bookies for a punt that is up to them but they shouldn't be advertising free competions to any unsuspecting geezer walking down the high street for his morning papers.

Thanks for all my posts, my new job has a soft opening as the owner got the dates confused as to when the current chef was to finish so got a week to do research and supplier changes without doing it stood by the stove which is great.the rain aside!!!!!!!!!

Had a massive lightbulb moment today after reading a few diaries earlier today.

The one massive thing this forum is devoid of is luck!!

Simply the one thing whilst at it, speaking I guess for everyone here shaped our lives, with the good times we could not believe it and in the bad times cursed it.

fast forward to recovery and our need for luck evaporates and with each day our efforts are rewarded and we make measured decisions, not a life reliant on luck!!!

So today once again more than happy with my lot, duncs compulsive gambler no bet today.

As always i agree, I really struggle wishing people good luck now for some reason and I know its very much connected to my none gambling.

I would much rather carve my own path in life through hard work and commitment than luck !

Another week away from the stove your hands must be itching to get cracking but lots to keep you occupied i suspect with reasearch etc.

Evening diary.

Curled up with my bag of legs on the couch as best I can !!!! Back from a days research, sussex has a great variety of choice of suppliers offering some great food stuffs so my life from the outset looks great, And the thing that was on my mind today was I am back by the sea , a place I feel at home all be it I am way inside the harbour walls. Lol

tommorrow I will finish my visits to the suppliers and finalise the first specials board for the week ahead.

today I have enjoyed the great humour that this forum blessed us with, I doff my hat.

Keep making the choice just for today.

Humour is something /i do truly value,although there is no price tag on it.

I like that, in the field of comedy I do feel that everyone is equal.(mr. f.Boyle aside!! a man who stated he longed for a joke so bad it would end his career!!!)

Read an intresting post regarding what is posted here and to add my five penith I say,whatever the author writes is good enough for Duncs.

I just hope it helps others as much as it helps me,as I have learnt through recovery, IT is all about me but and a massive but I through this accept the things i cannot change. Everyone is intitled to an opinion something in my gambling state I simply would not accept,I knew what was best for one and all!! o*g what a fool!! today I try very hard to find a measured thought out view, Well accept for the X Lol which I cant help myself!!!

Feeling good inside today,which will help me through the fact i have a golf ball for each tonsil !!! Still onwards and upwards good people!!

ITS ALL ABOUT YOU you're right...and long may that continue.

We have to go to any lengths to keep our recovery and that is paramount.

I know what you mean about certain comments....read a few myself but not recently unless some ive missed.....one particular one angled at me a while back.

As they say in Yorkshire...if they are talking about me then they are leaving some other poor sod alone,plus its about keeping the focus on ourselves right?
