Hi Dunc, thanks for the post. Really hope your blood tests come back ok and they can sort you out. My friend had one of those monitors on for about a week, they are invaluable to getting an accurate diagnosis on BP. Tramadol are a strange drug indeed, the best pain killer I've had, they also give me a sense of euphoria but they make me itch and are of course highly addictive. I only take them when the pain is too bad and I've seized up like the tin man from the wizard of Oz. came off them about 5 days ago after a two week spell. Felt quite down and lethargic for about three days but i expected this and didn't worry too much. You've done so much this year, from what I've read, not just with giving up gambling, you should be proud of yourself. Keep going forward without apprehension.

well hope they figure out what is the cause to them health problems. yeah that can ring up some undue stress. just the thought of having to visit a doctor and i can feel my blood pressure rise. lol yeah, was never very good at giving them folks a visit and some how dont think its changing. hope they get a clue to whats ailing ya though and happy trails be just arround the corner.

Its freezzing here but with sun...so at least the wooley tights Nora Batty style can be donned for a walk with 4 legs today.

She's even wearing her muddy paws fleece and im out in wellies..

Just left our Blondie a coffee ...and wondering how her head is...perhaps the cold evaporated the booze..lol

Barbara Woodhouse eh? I remember her alright...everyone just thought she was this barking mad kilted granny and it turned out she was this brainiac scientist ..I still blow up Dots nose now as a result of what she used to say!!!

not sure if you remember me? but i was here back in april and you were a big help to me, yep you guessed it i'm back for a reason put it short i thought i was better started going to bingo then the last month been on the slots nothing major until yesterday but i had that horrible feeling again that i recognised (the dark cloud/feeling sick and nothing else mattered in my bubble) and i now no i must stop again including the odd game of bingo, sorry to go on on your diary hope your ok? Evening diary.

So missed pulling up a chair in the gamcare bar last night, but seems a few others may have drunk it dry!!!! Lol

Seems as though we might need to get the carpet cleaner out tommorrow!! And open a few windows!!!!

And in light of the competition posted I have decided I will open the doors for breakfast !!!! Whether it be benedict, bennett or the full english, without doubt our table would be full of winners!!!,laughter and a lot of friendly faces.

I once a few years ago wanted to give up fine dining and open a cafe called eggcellent!!!! A menu which would pay homage to the worlds greatest ingredient the egg.

Today if I opened a place I would call it "non,gam and eggs"

Have had a nice couple of days, largely due to my sarah , enough to make any man smile.

No bet, no time for it.

Oh and deeply honoured to see a new member of flaggs 2013 thread, a privilege to be in further great company.

Evening diary.

40 weeks today gamble free, a time which has led down a new road where life gets better with each dawn.

Whilst at it a life I would never have thought possible, the answer to everything started and ended with "I bet"

Today another thing recovery has given was delivered by a phone call from the gm of a very exclusive hotel enquiring as to my availability, why a chef I worked for, whom I had the respect of until the latter stages of my last massively damaging bout of gambling, heard first hand of my recovery when I bumped into him recently has personally recommended that I am the fella for the job.

With honesty I was overwhelmed, I thought I had burnt that bridge, so tomorrow I will meet the gm after my docs appointment and we will see, the possibility of accolades is there, something that may finish this 360° turnaround.

Recovery is not easy, lifes not, but pushing forward each day the light is there and I want it.

Then for life I will share it.

This is the second time human kindness humbled, astounded me, the honourable mr. b whom has contributed much already came forth with more literature for my perusal,both people who contributed to my life today, did so not for there own gain but mine, so humbled and honoured I will proudly stride on.

just reading your post there....one thing that always admire about you is that you are a wear you heart on your sleeve man..

I love the way you are so open and honest about your life and i know for some it is very scary to do that...

Your post today just shows that if you are honest and open about yourself..things happen in a way you could never account for or predict ...yes..some people take advantage of honesty..but for every one that does 10 don't...

Being that way starts the sludge moving and you hav already shifted so much...your HP is working to bring into your life people and opportunities that are for you ...

I shall think about you tomorrow and your meeting with the general manager and whatever happens at the docs all will be well....over 20 years nutritional experience just here for you to call on anytime my friend..gratis....

Put us all in your top pocket tommrrow Duncs next to your heart...if Shiny is the guiding light of the forum....you are the heart of the forum and we shall make sure it is protected no matter what.....
