Day 160.
So…….. Arrived home from my sister’s place in the Lakes, feeling just awful 🤧🤒😷. Took a Covid test and yup! Two red lines came up straight away - as red as blood!👎. This was all I needed as I am due to go onto my new department tomorrow. Cannot believe this. The past 4 weeks have been a chore to say the least, what with this tooth infection and all that goes with it, still in existence and now this!🙈. The way I am feeling right now, I can’t see myself fit enough for work tomorrow. My stomach is aching, due to the non stop sneezing and blowing my nose all day/eve. I have come to bed and hoping for a good night’s sleep. Hopefully after a day’s rest at home tomorrow, I will feel more able to get myself into work the following day🤞🙏.

Day 161.
Second day of showing a strong positive test for COVID!🤒🤧😷🙈. Currently resting in bed and unable to get into work for my first day on my new department 👎. I thought having two holidays away, before starting properly in my new role would stand me in good stead! Not quite the case unfortunately. ☹️. There is nothing I can do about it right now though other than to just rest it out 😴.
On a positive, I remain g.f and I have money in my bank account - thank goodness for online shopping when you are at home not feeling great!!👌.

Day 162.
Third day of testing strongly positive for Covid 👎. Another day at home today and looks the same for tomorrow ☹️. Hoping to get into work on Thursday 🙏. Feeling so fed up and down in the dumps right now. Don’t get paid when I am off in this job either so the sooner I improve and get back to work, the better.
Will leave it there for this eve folks.

Day 163.
What’s that saying…… “it never rains but pours”! On my way to the chemist today to pick up my prescription. A warning came up in my car saying back tyre needed air in it. When I took it to the petrol station, I had a flat tyre!🙈. I paid one pound to get some air. By the time I had attached it to my wheel, it had ran out! Apparently, there was a fault with it - still took my payment though 😡. Anyway, a lovely man helped me and to my astonishment, he showed me that where the spare wheel usually is, there was basically a pump which I could attach to the inside of my car and basically fill my tyres with air, just like the one I had paid for at the petrol station. Who knew it!😮. The lovely guy filled my tyre with air, which got me home. Now I wait to see if it needs replacing or not. 🤞🙏.
Still testing strongly positive for COVID and still feeling like c—P 😔. It’s looking like I will be off for the week. Not the best start in my new job. Hey ho - “you can’t pour water from an empty jug” as the saying goes. Hopefully, new week, new department, new start 🤞🙏🙏🙏.

Day 168.
Had a few days rest from here and finally tested negative for COVID yesterday 👍. It’s been one thing after another these past 6 weeks and now I have just started my THIRD course of antibiotics for this bl—dy tooth!😖. Just trying to pick the best time to get back to the dentist and have the tooth out and be done with it for once and for all! Then there is the financial element to think about the cost of an implant or two!🙈😭.
It was my first day on my new department in my new job today and all went well. I have been paired up with a lovely lady, who will help me navigate through my workload for the next three to four weeks. I met some other colleagues too, who all seem really nice and approachable 👌. I had a nice walk home in the sunshine and then forgot about work and relaxed for the evening. Back for more of the same tomorrow 🙏.

So glad to hear you are back to some kind of normality. I hope the tooth situation gets better and doesn’t cost you too much. I don’t need to say this to you but for anyone reading this, a big outlay in money doesn’t mean the end of the world. Gambling won’t get you it, quitting will. This lady is an inspiration to me and to many others. Soon we will both be free from this addiction and the debt it has caused. We’ve been on this journey together. I don’t know her, but our stories, like yours are the same. We are both well on our way to living a debt free life, enjoying the spoils that proper adults do. Sure it took us a while. But, now we are real people. We understand how to live and can enjoy everything we should have been doing for the last 20-30 years. Sounds magical doesn’t it? It’s not an easy ride, but it’s a satisfying and eye opening ride, so jump onboard and join us!
