Day 16.
Feeling worried and confused right now and not in the best frame of mind. 😔. Has nothing to do with gambling/not gambling however 👌. Well maybe in a small way as I am just trying to earn some extra money after recently getting myself into even more debt but will now look at ways to do this other than trying my hand at gambling again! Will leave it there for tonight and go eat some Red Velvet cake! 😋. Not good for the toothache but at this point, don’t really care about the pain, thinking more of the taste of the cake!

Day 17.
Very busy and relentless day in work yet again!😴🥱. Off now until Tuesday and have my son staying for a few nights so nice change of scenery. My bed is calling so good night and God bless all.

Day 18.
Got the bus into my local town today - was going to buy some new pegs for the clothes line! Anyway, after I got off the bus and walking towards M&S, a quick gambling thought came into my head! I thought to myself, “I have £42.00 left in my bank account, to last me until 30th April - pay day. I could put a bet on and possibly double this”! I then quickly said to myself, “yes, but you could also lose this and then be left with nothing”! I walked past the betting shop (my gambling use/damage, has been mainly online but I have placed bets in betting offices as well). I also reminded myself that I have made my final “loan repayment” back to the online gambling establishments (for which I am now suspended/blocked from anyway).
I continued to walk to Sainsbury’s where I bought a jar of Khatsu curry sauce, a pouch of rice, 2 fresh corn on the cobs and a bottle of soy sauce. I had a nectar voucher for £2.50 so I needed only to pay £1.34 from my bank account.
I came out of Sainsbury’s and reminded myself that my fridge, freezer and cupboards have enough food in them to take me up to pay day, I have petrol in my car, to also get me to work and back AND, I can make myself a lovely king prawn khatsu curry when I fancy one! I am extremely good on living off little money thank goodness so my little challenge, is to see if I can keep this £40.00 in my bank account until 30th April - unless I need to get more petrol that is but hopefully not.
So the moral of the story is……. “It’s ok to have a thought like the one I had today, as long as I don’t act on it! Good enough, that same thought quickly came and went 👍.
I have had a good day all in all, even though I have very little money right now. I have been for a lovely late afternoon walk with my son and enjoyed a nice dinner together and had a couple of wine spritzers 👍. Things could have been so much different if I had spent that £42.00 gambling and, even worse if I had lost it! I would have also been so disappointed with myself as I do believe that I have finally reached a point where - “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH”!

Well done on resisting. It amazes me how just living a normal life can bring so much happiness. I’m skint like you and will be living like a peasant for the next 2 years but it excites me. Knowing I’ll be paying my debts off. Knowing I can treat myself to a little something now and again, knowing I won’t be broke month to month as the pay gets given away.

Day 19.
A bittersweet day today - it’s my sister’s Birthday, however, she is still grieving the sudden, tragic loss of her beautiful son - my Godson, 10 months ago now. We all are. 😭. He has left behind his lovely wife and his precious 4 and 8 year old daughters. Today, as a family, we were there for my sister, supporting her the best we could. As she said to me, “every nice occasion is now so bittersweet”. 💔.
You don’t need any money or to be trying to win any money, when you have the best loving family around you. My sister has always supported me in every way and still does now, even after going through the worst thing any mother could possibly think of going through. 😢.
Today I am grateful for:
My loving family
A lovely sunny day
Dinner with my sister and my son
Relaxing nicely this evening.
Had I have been gambling, I would have no doubt been riddled with anxiety and no doubt even worse off financially.👎.No more thank you.

Couldn’t agree more. Today I spent time with my family. I know it’s over but I’ll still cherish every minute I get to spend with them. Enjoy it while you can. Family is everything and as long as you have them around you’re winning. Good luck pinky! 💪

Day 20.
A pretty simple day today. Nothing wrong with that when my mind has been full of anxiety the last few weeks! My son went home today, after coming to stay for a few nights - get’s waited on hand and foot when he is here! It’s a Mum thing I believe!!🤪. Went to visit my sister earlier (she only lives down the road which is good - for both of us).
Feeling pretty tired so just chilling in bed typing this before I settle down for the night.
