Day@atime thankyou for your comment its appreciated :). I am really happy with how things are going these past 9 days.

Robert i have not played a single slot or placed a single bet for 9 days which is big for me, its so nice to see my bank account staying the same amount mate.

I feel for you and what your going through currently, i am just beginning my journey there is many members here who have been clean from gambling for a long time.

Robert you need to stop mate your going to keep digging a bigger hole for yourself, i admire you for paying your rent and bills thats something i couldnt do when i was gambling. I would blow the lot until im broke and then panic about bills and rent.

This shows you have the strength to control your money, meditation is helping more than i can explain and its showing me what life is about and believe me theres so much more to life than this evil curse.

Sorry to hear its taken away your social life it has done the same to many of us i would imagine.

I stopped on a win i dont know how i did but i did for once, i just came to my senses and said this is not for me looked for help and i found this site, talking about my experiances and how my day has gone really helps robert.

I hope i may have said something that means something to you.

Yes it is like a arcade in your hand its sickening and it should never have been invented. Have you thought of maybe cutting ties with an internet phone? Just go back to a basic phone.

My friends are going to cheltenham soon and they are starting to place bets already. I had a few urges to say oh go on then but i resisted and i will not place another bet im adamant i wont :). Just say NO rob

Rob i understand in what your saying about going a few months and then starting again, only to take you back to square one.

Sorry to hear you havent had alot of luck in love but we as gamblers are liars and thieves, we will do anything to get money to lose/win money. Its a vicious vicious circle can you ask your dad to control your money? I think this will work wonders for you just until you find that strength within yourself mate

So its now day 10 i am into double figures but its a friday and i would usually be placing my bets and then hitting the slots for a sickening weekend, i am not going to do a thing im spending quality time with my partner and some meditation will help me through the weekend.

Im feeling positive i actually find myself thinking less about gambling even after 10 days, i had some bills come out yesterday and it was an amazing feeling of not caring because i know i have the money.

I will post more of my life story tonight.

Starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel i know i can do this 🙂

11 days today i have the flu feeling like absolute c**P lol. I used to turn to gambling when i was ill as i had nothing to do not this time!.

NT thanks for your comment and yes lets do this together!! I want those three figures badly now staying away from gambling seems like an addiction itself counting the days away.

I just hope i feel this strongly another 11 days down the line 🙂

Great work on Day 11 mate, sorry you're poorly...I blame the addiction testing you like this! Blame is my new focus coz I am mad @ the addiction like it is a person that has wronged me, really wronged me!

I knew I had replaced my gambling with addictions to free games & websites like this but it hadn't occurred to me about the day count! I don't mind either of the 1st 2, in fact, I've already lost interest in the games but your one is my favourite! Counting days...An addiction that I wish to keep for the rest of my life...Thank you 🙂

I hope you feel better soon so you can really start enjoying this new gamble free life - ODAAT

One good thing is my partner is amazing and understands me so well as she struggles with an addiction of her own.

She has done so well with hers i feel i let myself and her down why oh why do we as gamblers gamble? Why! We all know the answers on why we shouldnt but i dont know the answers to why i DO gamble? Why do i gamble why do we as human beings gamble??!!

I am booked in to see a hypnotherapist next week hoping he can find the root of the problem. There must be some reason i gamble and i myself cannot find the answer!. So fingers crossed this will aid me in recovery

Luke

I started this site the same time as you and i am now nearly 100 days gf.

This is not a statement to make you feel s**t but to assure you it can be achieved.

I have been trying to abstain from gambling for 28yrs and only now have i managed to sustain a period of time where i dont want to gamble,i really dont.

This site has been my addiction for the last 3mths and with regular updates on my diary i am achieving my goal.

Long and short of it luke...if i can do it you can do it.

Stay strong
