Day 20

Another 27 mile bike ride done in preparation for my expedition. Loving life atm... Only a matter of time until I will have some expendable cash (2 weeks) to buy all the gear for my bike. Roll on.

It is working for me at the moment 🙂 I was surprised how much my mind set on money has changed already, I used to borrow money off anyone and everyone to place a bet, not giving a d**n how much I was pleading.. Shameless! As I was saying due to putting all my money into savings I have left myself with little or no money which hasn't really phased me as I'm pretty used to that feeling by now, however, yesterday I was asked to cover work meaning I needed £10 for fuel and I really struggled to ask for it. I guess because I virtually have my finacial situation back under control it felt bad to have to ask for it. I see this as a positive thing because there's no need to have to borrow money off others for essentials. Anyway I imagine this is probably the last time I am going to have to do it! Happy times.

Excellent! Wonderful saturday sunny day. Enjoy the cycling 🙂

Thanks ADT! Three weeks complete today. I suppose the next big mile stone will be the month , which will be here before I know it! Getting around £300 given to me today for the work I have done this weekend - can't wait to get to the bike shop and. Kit myself out. I'm enjoying knowing exactly where I am financially (keeping a diary of even penny I spend/need to spend out) rather than hoping for a bet to come in to cover the bills . Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend. Keep up the good work!

Day 27

Another gamble free day, had my first urge in a while last night , but steered clear. The thought of 4 weeks off it was enough to pull me through, Tuesday will be the 1st month as well, it's flown by. Last time I lasted just over 5 weeks, so I have booked in for my first councelling session next Friday to progress further than last time. Really pleased with how my life is turning around (financially if nothing else) keep up the good fight everyone.

Morning all, sorry it's been a while. I'm pleased to say I'm still going strong. Now in day 72 and looking forward to reaching the 100 day Mark. The last couple days I have had some pretty strong urges but I'm keeping them at bay. Since quitting my partner has left me I have quit my job, turned 30 and planned myself 4 months travelling, through Europe, Asia and USA. If I can go through all this without placing a bet then theres a good chance I can stay off this forever. Hope everyone else is still going strong! Keep up the good work
