Well done for the progress you’re making!

I’m glad to hear you sound happy and pleased with yourself; that is a step in the right direction. It’s hard work trying to overcome gambling problem by yourself; most people need a lot of support in order to achieve that.

You sound positive, and that is encouraging for you. Your determination and hard work will hopefully yield you the result you’d been yearning for.

I do agree with you that you treat yourself from time to time with some of the money you saved by not gambling.

I suggest that you have a second thought about putting some money in your purse when you buy a new one as a treat for yourself (maybe that’s a joke). You are doing so well, and I’m sure you wouldn’t want to place yourself in a vulnerable position at the moment.

I’ll encourage you to allow your mind set to get used to the idea of not gambling. Remember, part of the strategies to overcome your gambling problem is to avoid carrying extra money on you when going out.

I advise that you do more of what is working for you, and continue to allow your Mrs to hold your bank cards for you as well, and until such time that you feel well recovered to manage your finances again, ok?

Meanwhile, keep up the good work, keep reading from here, and also keep posting.
