hen 14 days gamble free. Have had moments when I have really had the urge to gamble but thankfully my head took control. I've been reading more, sadly eating far too much sweet stuff, and generally trying to get gambling out of my life for good.

Good luck to everyone on staying gamble free xx

Annie you are doing really well. Great to read you are "keeping on the right road."

This Gamble Free Road is definitely the only place to be. Admittedly, it has some potholes, blind spots plus a few twists and turns but it is a mighty fine road leading to a better life.

We may experience highs and lows, have some laughs and shed a few tears along the way but we have got to hang on for dear life. If we are really struggling at times we need to remind ourselves that tomorrow is another day and things might look a little brighter after a good nights sleep....stephen x

Thanks Stephen. All very true. On day 17. £17 in the pot. There are times when I feel that there is a void that was once filled with incessant gambling but I am trying to fill it with more positive activities such as reading. I will not gamble again. X

Today I filled the void with eating too much chocolate but at least I didn't gamble!

Thanks Stephen! Have also joined weight watchers online as stopping gambling was resulting in me eating far too much to compensate for not gambling. So hopefully I can keep a positive mindset and not get down. I hope you are continuing well on your journey. I will check in on your diary xx

Hello Annie. I know exactly what you mean. Expanding our horizons is better than expanding our tummies. I have piled a few pound on over recent months so need to give it a good thinking about and make a few changes to my diet. I was on the rowing machine for 15 minutes the other day and it said I had used up 130 calories. I was wuite chuffed until someone pointed out that was only 2 slices of bread. Mmmmmmm

I do believe we are capable of more than we give ourselves credit for. When our mind is in a good place we can be full of enthusiasm, confident and also realistic about where we want to go, what we want to do and who we want to be around us.

23 days ago you set off on a journey to rediscover your self, improve your quality of life and to find the peace, tranquillity and happiness you deserve. When the going gets tough just hang onto your hat and hold on for dear life because bad days will come and go like anything else. Take care my friend ...stephen x
