Well done Phil

Regarding your wife, like i said before just keep showing her how committed you are to stop gambling and time will tell. My husband has told me that he still doesnt trust me regarding gambling but what can we expect its not easy for them to forget all the lies we have told straight away.

Hope you have a good day 🙂

Thanks Lisa, I am sure over time your husband will also learn to trust you, just need a little patience.....

Day 28, and feeling great, and the wife is even to start talking to me again and bought me a little treat yesterday. All in all good!!

Saw the TV program Britain likes to gamble last night and was very sad, we have all been there, but even more of an incentive not to go there again.

Good luck all and have great weekends

Phil

thanks again Sandra, lovely words.....

Day 29, i cannot play down how good i feel at the moment. Had a real good break at work yesterday, and my wife is at least talking to me now.

The most important thing, is that I just feel good myself, I still have the legacy of debt to deal with but step change are helping and I can just about see a way out. The bad events of last week were uncomfortable but I am proud with how i dealt with them and thanks to all for the support. And then good things have started to happen......wow!!

have a great weekend all

Phil

Phil.

My friend what a great post to read.

A fella told me it takes 21 days to break a habit, then a lifetime to beat the addiction.

Take great heart that you through the sh#t of last week go running for that punt.

There is never an answer for us in having a punt.

Without doubt just more misery.

Recovery does not come easy, there will be hard days but the over riding fact is life will improve and continue to.

Keep up the great work.

Duncs stepping forward never back.

Lisa, Stu, Duncs and Chris.....many thanks for all your kind words, it is such that makes this process even more rewarding!!

day 30, a significant anniversary of sorts i guess, but in truth every day is an achievement, not too much to report, watched the Lions rugby yesterday, thought about gambling but no more than thoughts. Interestingly enough, Royal Ascot has now finished and you know what, I didn't miss a thing, normally a big deal to me but having said that great to feel good in so many other ways.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend, and stay strong all.

Phil
