Here i am stuck in work with too much time on my hands but after 4 days of no gambling i feel pretty good, got a counselling session booked with a gambling Councillor at CAB on wednesday so looking forward to that. I have gambled pretty much nearly every day for the last 3 months until the last four days and joining this site. I still have the urge and knot in my stomach but i am coping with it. last night i dream t that i was playing the FOBT machine and when i woke up i felt let down until i realized it was not real. dear god i must of had it bad. but on day 4 i am just about coping. lets hope it gets easier.

hi Steve,
well done making the steps and putting in place a plan of attack, i hope the counselling sessions work for you as they did for me.
We come from similar backgrounds, i have been in the industry for over 10 years and know only 2 well the patterns of gambling. I have recently returned to amateur and rejoined my old club which will prove difficult at first but guards are in place.
I have been over 7months GF, dont get me wrong its not all sugar coated hard work and determination but the end result is so worth it.
I am part of the clean for 14 thread in overcoming **** part of this site, pop over and have a look we have a great team spirit and encourage each other all the way.
Take care bud and all the best.

Yes the golf industry isnt to blame but it hasnt helped. i know a lot of golf pros that have gambling problems. i am getting out of golf in oct to work for my brother, so no more weekend and no more self employment, a fresh start as they say. cant wait.
Affected by gambling?
