We Canadians had our Thanksgiving back in October, Soul....and it's always on a Monday... and we don't have black Friday here either.

Wishing I could write more here and on other's diaries but I have to preserve my arm strength for work as much as I can... also am finding less time available since being back at work. (Thinking I may really need to do something about this arm... comes and goes but hurts to even hold a cup of coffee and that just won't do). Will likely drive to sis's place this weekend for my bro in law's 50th bday. Not sure when I'll be able to catch up with everyone but I am thinking of my gc buddies and sending out positive vibes to all of you.

Hi all,

Yes, arm pain is definitely more than just sore muscles. Have long had osteoarthritis in my elbows and also a pinched nerve which causes my baby finger to be numb (been that way for about a year). Doc said just leave all that for now as long as you can live with it and if it becomes a real problem, then we'll look at surgery. I think with all that shovelling (and I did do a hell of a lot because I also did the lower part of my roof and then had to do sidewalks again), it either aggravated it a lot.... or possibly, am building a bit of muscle which is now pinching the nerve even more?? Not sure. Heading to sis's today and more snow is to come so hopefully it'll stay away until Monday as it is supposed to... otherwise, highway could be hell. Yes, Sandra... I ended up giving basement girl a little blast... probably I could have handled it better... she is really avoiding me now. Paid yesterday and gambled... sh--t! Can't learn. Maybe like some I just need to accept that it's the one vice I can't control. Must make sure I don't gamble any more as I am still ok for the month of payments and can still afford Christmas. Thanks again to all for thinking of me.... ouch, ouch... gotta go.

Arm hurts. Head hurts. Heart hurts. Fight with sis on phone. Didn't go for bro in law's 50th bday. Feel so sad and such a loser.

Hi Carla,

Wandering aimlessly around on the diaries as trying to stay out of trouble. Ran across your post and am willing you some kind of reprieve from all of your pain if only for a moment for you to catch your breath. Breathe Carla. (((((C)))))) -joanxxxxx

Much sympathy, had carpel tunnel and other ops on my hand also had trigger finger which friends thought was hilarious as middle finger sticks inwards (obviously) as if firing a gun but injections gave miraculous pain relief so worth a try if you are offered them.

All gets too much sometimes so understand the spending spree and hoping as soul says you are shaking the sh it off.

Stay safe

xxx

Thanks so much, all. Really hoping to catch up on diaries soon. Arm is slowly starting to feel better but another 40 cm snowfall happened last night! Frick. Hope I manage the shovelling after work today... at least it's very light snow. Again, thanks for all the support and I promise I will catch up eventually.
