Hello NoCrisis - thank you for the congrats on my progress, although I feel my path has been easy compared with the problems others have had to face up to - you are the true heroes!

Remember this in your 'down' periods: "A light can only shine in the darkness". Keep going towards the light.

Day 44 and counting....

Hi Baggins thanks for your kind words, wish I had half of your positivity, focussing on the past is not a healthy thing to do, I can only affect what happens today. Stay strong.

Hi Joanna,

That light is shining brightly for you at the moment I hope, but as a grandparent I imagine you have a few more babysitting days scheduled over the next few weeks before school's back in session?

The sunny days on Monday and Tuesday were lovely, but now that I'm back in work gazing out the window at it I just wish it was my weekend (shift work šŸ™ urgh) again. Tried to work on some form of tan, but us genetically Welsh folk have only two skin colours, red and white!

All the best

Ryan

Thank you rents11; Thank you Ryan.

Day 46 - a busy few days gardening in the sunshine and preparing for an Easter Egg hunt for the grandchildren. Happy days and not a thought of slots...

Ryan: glad you are having some sunny days - I know South Wales quite well from childhood holidays - and remember the horizontal rain!

Leeds0: Keep going and try to keep the good memories to the fore - My thought for the day:

"Like a bird singing in the rain, let grateful memories survive in time of sorrow." (Robert Louis Stevenson)

Joanna,

I've just read a bit through your diary will be honest I couldn't read all is getting just to much on my eyes but the most I've read did put a smile back on my face and you can be more than proud of your achievement so far. And I'm glad you are here.

Have a nice Easter

Wolfgang

Day 49 - looking forward to my half-century tomorrow!

In recovery mode today after a day with the grandchildren yesterday (Easter Egg Hunt brought forward a day because of rain accurately forecast for today). Sunshine, good food (even if cooked by me!) family fun and no squabbling over who had found the most eggs - wonderful!

Who has time for gambling? :o)

Hi Joanna,

Nice to read that you had a nice Easter, and thank you for your post on my blogg. It's good to have friends šŸ™‚

Just got back from a long easter walk with Lou and the dogs now waiting for the family to arrive to have dinner I'm starving lol

Lou spent all morning with cooking and baking and I have done my duties in licking out the cake mix bowl lol.

We are happy right now and I hope it stays this way.

All the best for you and till soon

Thank you boys - Steve, Stu and Wolfgang!

So pleased you have enjoyed reading my Diary - it prompted me to re-read it myself and made me feel better! I come across as a right Little Miss Sunshine, don't I? It must be the magic of this site that keeps me positive even when feeling a bit 'down'.

Day 51 for me - '51' is a special number for me as it always reminds me of visiting the Festival of Britain as a small child in 1951 - yes, I am that old!! Fragmented memories of the Dome of Discovery, the Skylon, a Roland Emmett machine and some disturbing photos of plastic surgery carried out by Sir Archibald McIndoe, but overall a sense of excitement and optimism after emerging from the War. A bit like us on this site...

Here endeth the History Lesson.

Keep going everyone - we will overcome.

Joanna :o)
