Thank you for your concern Loxxie!! Feeling not too bad, lying on settee eating ice-cream. It's a beautiful day here and if I manage to get my jammies off I'll take the dog for a walk.

yesterday was busy as usual at work. I told everyone I didn't want a fuss as I was delighted to be going and after the c**P year I've had with managers etc, it would be hypocritical on their part to given me anything and on mine if I accepted it. So, hid in my office all day but was captured when I ventured out at 3pm by the nice manager and, being Friday most people had left early so only 3 people there. Got lovely flowers, thanked him and then asked him to ensure that my replacement does not get the same bad treatment I had been given (said a weee bit more too). Got a wee cuddle and then I was on my way to pastures new.

New job, new me. Now even more committed to putting my struggles with gambling and work in the past and looking forward to what comes my way.

Annie signing off hungover but postive...bring it on!!!

70 days gamble free...loving the freedom it has given me. Still up to my eyes in debt but that is not unsurmountable if I keep working and gamble free.

Keep on the road guys, we will get there xxx

Day 72 in the diary room: Annie is bored. When Annie was bored before she used to gamble on online slot machines with money she could not afford, her house was a pigsty and the dog only got short walks. The family dinners were made in a flash as it wasted precious gambling time. Annie has been 72 days gamble free, the dog has long walks, the family eat nutritious tasty meals and she no longer spends money she can't afford. Annie's house is still a pigsty however Annie is happy as a pig in the proverbial and realises that she has never really been houseproud!

Also, Annie writes shoite when she's bored! Don't start new job until 4th April so I probably will have read all the diaries on the forum if I don't get off my er$e and do something. Hoovering.......? Mmmm..............nah!

Take care all xx

Wow 80 days, how the hell did that happen? Been super busy, occasionally have a fleeting thought of gambling again but speak to my husband and, recently started speaking to my counsellor again. Having addictions of any kind can be difficult to remove form your life or life in general, and being a gambler it is very difficult to steer completely clear of it as we are surrounded by all sorts of media glamourising it. In times of stress, weakness or any vulnerability it could be quite easy to succumb to the temptation but having the proper support in place is really helping me achieve my goal of being permanently gamble free.

Take care all xxx
